This is an ongoing project so information on these pages is subject to change. I will update the site monthly so if you find a connection to your ancestors it is worth popping back every now and then to see if there is anything new.

Sources

I have included source titles for all facts relating to individuals. This is to allow researchers to evaluate the accuracy of the various facts for themselves. To aid this I have included multiple sources and dates for the same facts.

For example most individuals are shown with multiple years of birth. By referring to the sources researchers will immediately see that this is usually due to the different sources used. It is left to the researcher to evaluate the relevance of the sources. Obviously a Birth Certificate would override Birth dates derived from census information. However the census derived birth dates should be within a similar time frame as the date given by a birth certificate, thereby supporting the fact that the birth certificate is the correct one.

I have not disclosed the source details but will do on request. I won't disclose contributors details unless they have asked me to do so, but will pass on your details to contributors asking them to make contact with you.

Addition Information Available

I have lots of information relating to many of my direct ancestors and their siblings and cousins that I have not included on this website. If you believe that you have a connection to my family tree please contact me and I will be very pleased to help you with any queries.

Please note that when looking through the site I would appreciate ANY help that other researchers can provide no matter how small.

For example if you only know that someone on this site had a brother named David, or lived in a flat on the Argyll Road - PLEASE let me know. Even though it is only one piece of information it may be the one piece of information I need to enable me to breakthrough a brick wall. I may have two possible families as parents to one of my known ancestors but be unable to determine which one is mine. If I know that one family has a David and lived on the Argyll Road and then someone emailed me a one liner saying that all they know is that the person in my tree lived on the Argyll Road, then I immediately know which family is likely to be mine. Without that information I would never have known which family was mine. So please email me with any information you have no matter how small.
